Jesus and the Law Written on the Heart
What does it truly mean to love the Lord your God?
When Jesus was asked to identify the greatest commandment, He answered by quoting Deuteronomy: “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind” (Matthew 22:37). Throughout His earthly ministry, Jesus repeatedly drew upon Deuteronomy to explain faithful obedience, expose empty religion, and reveal the heart of God’s law.
This teaching series follows that biblical thread. Each lesson explores how Christ interpreted and applied the commands of Deuteronomy, demonstrating that genuine love for God is expressed through trust, worship, obedience, and wholehearted devotion. Rather than reducing God’s commands to outward duty, Jesus revealed the spiritual realities to which they point.
These video lessons are designed for personal study, small groups, Sunday School classes, and anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the relationship between the Old and New Testaments. Each lesson combines careful exposition, biblical theology, practical application, and an unwavering commitment to the authority of Scripture.
Whether you are studying the series from beginning to end or exploring an individual lesson, our prayer is that these studies will deepen your appreciation for God’s Word, strengthen your love for the Lord Jesus Christ, and encourage a life of faithful obedience.
